I want to get this fella here, but I would like to install it myself if it isn't too much of a pain in the ass. Does anyone have any experience that could shine some light on the subject?

Grassy-ass.

Which 2.0T? A3/A4?

It's an easy job unless you have to deal with a driveshaft...even then it's not too bad.

It's the A5. I checked out where the OE pipe runs and there is a ton of room in there. Engine bay is made to hold a V8, so there is a lot of space.

They really it's just a matter of having the right tools, clearance to work, and making sure not to damage the stupid O2 sensors.

Are there any special tools needed outside of the normal sockets and whatnot? Any "protips" that I should be aware of?

I installed mine on my car no problem, but then again I don't own an Audi. Exhaust is pretty easy to install, even if there are O2 sensors involved. I have removed mine 3 times and broken 0.

It should be a similar job to my B6. You will need an O2 sensor socket. You'll need extensions for some of those bolts, they are a real PITA.

If you've got the space you say then you may not need this and an open ended wrench may do the trick. But I found this tool to be a godsend cause it lets you slide the tool over the cables and down onto the o2 sensor. Can't do this with a standard socket....cool tool. Good luck!
